5. Ventilation

Theslots and openingson the TV setare intended for
ventilationand to ensure reliable operation. To pre-
ventoverheating,these openingsmust not be blocked
or covered in anyway.

6. Heat and Flames

The set should not be placednear to naked flames
and sources of intense heat, such as an electr ic
heater.Ensure thatno naked flame sources, such as
lightedcandles, areplaced on top of the TV.Batteries
shallnot be exposed to excessive heatsuch as sun-
shine,fire or the like.

7.Lightn ing

Incase of storm and lightning or whengoing on holi-
day,disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

8. Replacement Parts

When replacement parts are required,be sure the
servicetechnician has used replacementparts which
arespecified by the manufacturer or havethe same
specificationsas the original one. Unauthorizedsub-
stitutionsmay result in fire, electricals hock,or other
hazards.

9. Servicing

Please referall servicing to qualified personnel. Do
notremove the cover yourselfas this may result in an
electrics hock.

10.Waste Disposal

Instructions for waste disposal:
• Packaging andpackaging aids are recyclable and
shouldprincipallybe recycled. Packaging materials,
suchas foil bag, must be kept away from children.
•Battery, includingthose which are heavy metal-free,
should not be disposedof with household waste.
Please disposeof used battery in an environmen-
tallysound manner.Find out about the legalregula-
tions whichapply in your area.
• Coldcathode fluoresant lamp in LCD PANELcon-
tainsa small amount of mercury;please follow local
ordinatesor regulations for disposal.

Preparation

Forventilation,leave a space of at least 10 cm free all
aroundthe set. To prevent anyfault and unsafe situ-
ations,please do not place any objects on top of the
set.
Usethis apparatus in moderate climates.
Pleaseread the following recommended safety pre-
cautions carefully foryour safety.

1.Power Source

TheTV set should be operatedonly from a 220-240V
AC, 50Hz outlet. Ensure that you select thecorrect
voltage settingfor your convenience.

2.Power Cord

Donot place the set, a piece of furniture,etc. on the
powercord (mainslead) or pinch thecord. Handle the
powercord by the plug. Do not pull out theplug by
tuggingthecord and nevertouch the powercord when
yourhands are wetas this could cause a shortcircuit
orelectricshock. Nevermake a knot in the cordor tie it
withother cords. The power cordsshould be placed
insuch a way thatthey are not likelyto be stepped on.
Adamaged power cordcan cause fire or giveyou an
electricshock. When it is damagedand needs to be
changed,it shouldbe done by qualifiedpersonnel.

3.Moisture and Water

Donot use this equipmentin a humid and damp place
(avoidthe bathroom, thesink in the kitchen, and near
thewashing machine). Do not exposethis equipment
torain or water,as this may be dangerous and donot
placeobjects filled with liquids,such as flower vases,
ontop. Avoid from dripping or splashing.
Ifany solid objector liquid falls into the cabinet,unplug
the TV and have itchecked by qualified personnel
beforeoperating it any further.

4.Cleaning

Beforecleaning, unplug the TV set from the wallout-
let.Do not use liquidor aerosol cleaners.Use soft and
dry cloth.
