Troubleshooting
Problem Suggestion
There is no dial tone. • First, try all the above suggestions. First, try all the a bove suggestions.
• Moveth e cordless handset closer to the tel ephone base. It might be out of range. Move the cordless ha ndset closer to the telephone base. It mi ght be out of range.
• Thete lephone line cord might be malfun ctioning. Try installing a new telephone li ne cord. The telephone line c ord might be malfunctioning. Try inst alling a new telephone line cord.
• Disconnect the telephone base fr om the telephone jack and conne ct a different telephone. If Disconnect th e telephone base from the telepho ne jack and connect a differ ent telephone. If
there is no dial tone on the other telephone either, the problem is in your wiring or local service.
