Outillage nécessaire : Cle a Bougie de 13 x 19 mm (1/2 x 3/4 po), jauge d’épaisseur et une brosse

IMPORTANT

Les dommages graves au moteur peuvent se produire si le BPMR-8Y n’est pas installé.

1.Retirer la bougie et la vérifier pour voir si elle est encrassée ou usée, ou si l’électrode centrale est arrondie.

2.Nettoyer la bougie ou la remplacer par une neuve. NE PAS se servir d’une sableuse pour la nettoyer, car le sable restant sur la bougie

 

endommagera le moteur.

Régler l’écartement des électrodes en recourbant l’électrode de masse.

Serrer la bougie à 150 - 170

kg/cm (130 - 150 po-lb).

 

 

Système de refroidissement

Niveau 2.

Outils nécessaires : Clé hexagonale de 3 mm, tournevis cruciforme, bâton pointu, brosse de nettoyage de 2 ou 5 cm.

Pièces nécessaires : aucune, à condition d’être prudent.

IMPORTANT

Pour maintenir les températures correctes de fonctionnement du moteur, l’air de refroidissement doit traverser librement la zone des ailettes du cylindre. Cet air emporte la chaleur de combustion loin du moteur.

Il y a risque de surchauffe et de grippage du moteur lorsque :

L’admission d’air est obstruée, ce qui empêche l’air de refroidisse- ment d’arriver jusqu’au cylindre.

De la poussière et de l’herbe s’accumulent sur l’extérieur du cylindre. Une telle accumulation isole le moteur et empêche l’évacuation de la chaleur.

Le dégagement du passage de l’air de refroidissement et le nettoyage des ailettes de refroidissement sont considérés comme faisant partie de l’entretien normal. Toute panne attribuée à un manque d’entretien n’est pas couverte par la garantie.

Nettoyage de la grille

1.Débarrasser la grille d’admission d’air se trouvant au-dessus du réser- voir de toute accumulation de débris.
