9.10 Wireless Tools

Wireless Tools is the key to maintaining a healthy connection between your device, the Internet, your e-mail, and Office Online.

Wireless Tools allows you to optimize your browser settings to meet your browsing needs, and allows you to easily connect to the Internet and your favorite sites.

From the Wireless Tools page, you can access:

ξ Optimization Settings — The tools needed to maintain a speedy connection

ξ Pocket Guide — Your gateway to the Internet

9.10.1 Optimization Settings

Optimization Settings allows you to select the efficiency settings on your device, giving you more control over page-loading times and performance speeds.

Optimizing your device allows you to download Web pages and images more quickly. It can also by used to verify the status of the optimization feature, and enable and disable it at your discretion.

The Optimization feature also allows you to activate additional tools including the content blocking, image quality settings, and set various protocols used to access your POP3/IMAP4 e-mail accounts.

9.10.2 Enabling and Disabling the Optimization Feature

Although the Optimization feature is enabled by default, you can disable it to view clearer images and download all types of content. There are several status settings with which you should be familiar.
