8 Content Filtering and Blocking
Internet content filtering allows you to create and enforce Internet access policies tailored to the
needs of your organiza tion. You can bloc k harmf ul Web appl icatio ns f rom ente ring your net work. and
select Web content categories to block or monitor, such as pornography or racial intolerance, from
a pre-defined Content F i l ter List.
There are three Content Filter Lists available for use with your SonicWALL:
•SonicWALL - Selecting SonicWALL for the Content Filter List Type allows you use the S oni cWA L L
Content Filter List (option a l upgrade) and completely customize your Content F i lter features in-
cluding allowed a nd forbidden domains as we ll as co n te n t filtering using keywor ds .

month subscription to the SonicWALL Content Filter List updates.
•N2H2 - N2H2 is a third pa rty content filter software p ackage supported by SonicWAL L. You can
obtain more information on N2H2 at [http://www.n2h2.com]. If you select N2H2 from the list,
an N2H2 tab is available to configure the location of the N2H2 server and other
settings.
•Websense Enterprise - Websense Enterprise is also a third party content filter list package
supported by SonicWALL. Yo u can obtain more information on W ebsense Enterprise at
[http://www.Websense.com ]. If y ou se le ct Websense Enterprise from the list, a Websense tab
is available to configure the location of the Websense server and other settings.
