DTS Digital Surround™ playback, the supplied speaker system must be connected to the digital optical jack of the recorder.

Note on playing DVDs with a DTS sound track

DTS audio signals are output only through the DIGITAL OUT jack.

When you play a DVD with DTS sound tracks, set [DTS] to [On] in [Audio] Setup (page 79).

Searching for a Title/ Chapter/Track, etc.

You can search a DVD by title or chapter, and VIDEO CD by track. As titles and tracks are assigned individual numbers on the disc, select the title or track by entering its number. You can also search for a scene using the time code.
