“FRONT DIST” (front speaker distance)

Set the front speaker distance from your listening position between 1.0 to 7.0 m in 0.2 m increments. The default setting is “3.0.”

“CEN DIST” (centre speaker distance)

Set the centre speaker distance between the “FRONT DIST” setting and -1.6 m of the “FRONT DIST” setting (set in 0.2 m increments). The default setting is “3.0.”

“SURR DIST” (surround speaker distance)

Set the surround speaker distance between the “FRONT DIST” setting and -4.6 m of the “FRONT DIST” setting (set in 0.2 m increments). The default setting is “3.0.”

Notes

When you select an item, the sound momentarily cuts off.

Depending on the setting of other speakers, the subwoofer sound may be excessive.

If front and surround speakers are not placed at an equal distance from your listening position, set the distance according to the closest speaker.

Do not place the surround speakers and the centre speaker farther away from your listening position than the front speakers.

Depending on the input stream, the distance settings may not be effective.

Speaker Level Settings (“LEVEL”)

You can individually set the loudness of each speaker. Use the test tone for easy adjustment (go to “Setting the speaker level by using the test tone” on page 94).

You can also adjust the levels without using the test tone. Select “LEVEL” (level) in the AMP menu. To use the AMP menu, see “Using the AMP Menu” (page 91).

The default settings are underlined.

“FL LEVEL” (front left speaker level)

Set the front left speaker level between –6 dB to 0 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

Set the centre speaker level between –6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

“FR LEVEL” (front right speaker level)

Set the front right speaker level between –6 dB to 0 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

“SR LEVEL” (surround right speaker level)

Set the surround right speaker level between –6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

“SL LEVEL” (surround left speaker level)

Set the surround left speaker level between –6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

“SW LEVEL” (subwoofer speaker level)

Set the subwoofer level between –6 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is “0.”

To adjust the volume of all the speakers at one time

Press 2 +/– on the remote. Or press VOLUME +/

– on the centre unit.
