The character input screen appears.

(8) Enter the passkey.

For details of how to input characters, see “How to input characters” (p. 8). For example, when using the BTA-NW1/BTA-NW1A Modem Adaptor, the passkey is the same as its serial number indicated on the label on the rear panel.

Tip on “Passkey”

The passkey is an identification number needed to allow two Bluetooth devices to communicate with each other. The connection is permitted after you enter the passkey. This “Passkey” is sometimes referred to as the “Bluetooth passkey”, “PIN”, “Bluetooth PIN”, etc. For details, refer also to the operating instructions supplied with the modem adaptor.

(9) Tap [Enter].

The passkey input screen appears again.

(10) Tap [OK].

When registration is complete, the Bluetooth Setup screen appears again and the message “Bluetooth Registration Complete” appears.
