Labelling the presetstations — Station Name

You can label each preset station with up to 12 characters (Station Name). The Station Name appears when you tune in the station.

1 Press TUNER BAND to select the band you want.

2 Turn the jog dial to tune in the desired preset station.

3 Press TUNER NAME.

The text input screen appears, and the cursor flashes.

4 Press CHARACTER on the remote repeatedly to select the desired type of character.

Each time you press the button, the display changes as follow:

(Blank space) t A (Upper cases) t a (Lower cases) t 0 (Numbers) t ’ (Symbols) t (Blank space) t …

5 Turn the jog dial (or press V/v on the remote) to select the desired character.

To enter a blank space

Press M (or b on the remote) without turning the jog dial.

To enter a symbol

You can use the following 24 symbols.

’ – / , . ( ) : ! ? & + < > _ = ” ; # $ % @ `

6 Press M.

The character you selected in step 5 stops flashing and the cursor shifts to the right.

7 Repeat steps 4 to 6 to complete the entire title.

If you make a mistake

Press mor M(or B/b on the remote) until the character you want to change flashes, then repeat steps 4 to 6.

To erase a character

Press CLEAR on the remote while the character is flashing. You cannot insert characters.

8 Press ENTER to complete the labelling procedure.
