5Connect the mains lead to a wall outlet.
The demonstration appears in the display. When you press ?/1, the system turns on and the demonstration automatically ends.
If the plug does not fit the wall socket, detach the supplied plug adaptor (only for models equipped with an adapter).
To deactivate the demonstrationWhen you set the time (see page 7), the demonstration is deactivated.
To activate/deactivate the demonstration again, press DISPLAY (European model) or DEMO (STANDBY) (other models) while the system is off.
TipYou can reinforce the bass sound by connecting an optional super woofer to the SUPER WOOFER OUT connector.
Attach the supplied front speaker pads to the bottom of the speakers to stabilize the speakers and prevent them from slipping.
Inserting two R6 (size AA) batteries into the remoteTip
With normal use, the batteries should last for about six months. When the remote no longer operates the system, replace both batteries with new ones.
Notes•If you do not use the remote for a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage.
•Be sure to insert the batteries in correct direction.
•Do not mix new batteries with old ones.
•Do not use different types of batteries together.
•Do not use a battery that is leaking.
•If the battery leaks, clean the battery compartment and replace all the batteries with new ones.
When carrying this systemDo the following to protect the CD mechanism.
1Press CD (or FUNCTION on the remote repeatedly) until “CD” appears in the display.
2Keep pressing ENTER and press ?/1 so that “LOCK” appears in the display.
