Recording a CD on an

MD

You can make a digital recording of a CD on an MD, marking track numbers in the same sequence as the original CD.

You can also record a programme of favourite tracks (see page 28).

To turn on the system, press ?/1 (power).

1 Insert a recordable MD.

With the label side up, and the shutter on the righthand side

2 Press one of the CD 1 – 5 A and place a CD.

Then press again to close the disc tray.

With the label side up. When you play a CD single (8cm CD), place it on the inner circle of the tray.

3 Press CD SYNC NORMAL.

To record at high speed, press CD SYNC HIGH.

1” (“2” for high speed recording) appears in the display. “Μ D New Track” and remaining recordable time on the MD appear alternately.

The MD deck stands by for recording and the CD player pauses for play.

4 Press MD S.

Recording starts. You cannot pause recording during CD-MD Synchro Recording. When the recording is completed, the CD player and the MD deck stop automatically.

To stop recording

Press CD s or MD s.
