TIME CODE | • DF to set the time code to Drop Frame. |
• NDF to set the time code to Non Drop | |

CM (Cassette Memory) SEARCH | • ON to search recordings with the cassette |
| memory. If the tape does not have a |
| cassette memory, the VCR will search |
| recordings using index signals recorded |
| on the tape itself. |
| • OFF to search recordings using the index |
| signals recorded on the tape. |

|
LANC MODE | • M to control another VCR from this VCR |
| using the lLANC connection. |
| • S to control this VCR from another |
| equipment using the lLANC |
| connection. |
| (When you connect a video printer and use |
| the PRINT button on the remote |
| commander supplied with this VCR, set |
| LANC MODE to “S.”) |

SHUTTLE MODE | • A to control, via the lLANC connection, |
| a VCR that doesn’t have a reverse slow |
| motion function. |
| • B to control, via the lLANC connection, |
| a VCR that has a reverse slow motion |
| function. |
