Adjusting the focus manually

You can adjust the focus manually by rotating the lens ring to right/left.

1. Press the AF/MF button to set the focus to manual.

Magnifying the image to obtain better manual focus (Focus Magnifier)Manual background appears on the LCD monitor when the manual focus setting is selected. Use this function in the following cases.

To record a subject behind a window covered with raindrops.

To record horizontal stripes.

To record a subject with little contrast between the subject and its background.

When you want to focus on a subject in the background. To record a stationary subject using a tripod.

2.Flip the ZOOM/FOCUS switch to the ZOOM or FOCUS side, and then rotate the lens ring. ZOOM side: You can adjust the zoom manually by rotating the lens ring.

FOCUS side: You can adjust the focus by rotating the lens ring.

Useful functions for recording

Magnifying the image to obtain better manual focus (Focus Magnifier)

Magnify the image you are currently recording whether the object is in focus.

1. Press the FOCUS MAGNIFIER button, and then touch the part you want to magnify.

The Manual background marks appear on the top/bottom/right/left sides of the center of the magnified part.

2. Touch one of the Manual background marks to move the image in the direction you want.
