3. Rotate the MANUAL dial to adjust the IRIS (aperture).

When the setting value is highlighted, the IRIS (aperture) is adjustable using the MANUAL dial.

To restore the setting to automatic adjustment

Press the IRIS button again. Manual background appears next to the IRIS (aperture) value.

Hint

This function is useful when you want to blur or sharpen the background of an image.

Adjusting the shutter speed

The procedure to set the shutter speed is explained as follows.

1.Press the PROGRAM AE button to set the IRIS (aperture), gain (ISO), shutter speed and exposure to [Auto].

2. Press the SHUTTER SPEED button to set the shutter speed to manual.

Each time you press the button, the setting switches between manual and auto.
