About the Built-in Rechargeable

Battery

The unit is provided with a rechargeable battery that retains the date/time and various settings regardless of power-on and power-off. The rechargeable battery is charged as long as the unit is operated. If the period of operating the unit is short, the battery discharges gradually and if it is not used at all for approximately 3 months, the battery will discharge completely. If that case, charge the battery and then start using the unit.

If you do not need to record the date and time when the rechargeable battery is not fully charged, you can use the unit in this state.

Charging the rechargeable battery

Connect the unit to an AC output using the AC adaptor and power cord. (The unit does not need to be turned on.)

Using your Videocassette

Recorder abroad

You can use your Videocassette Recorder in any country/region using the AC adaptor.

Supplied within 100 V to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz.

Use a commercially available AC plug adaptor [a], if necessary, depending on the design of the wall outlet [b].
