Cassette compatibility
A tape with DV or miniDV mark can be used for HDV. The recording bit rate and recording track pitch on a tape of the HDV1080i system used for the unit are about 25 Mbps and 10 µm, respectively. The specifications are the same as that of home use DV (SP) tapes. The recording time on an HDV tape is also the same as that of DV (SP).
