Use a digital optical cable (square, not supplied) to connect the andio input of the optional MD deck to this jack. You can then record digital audio from this system.

Note

There is no digital audio ouiput from this jack during playback of an MP3 andio track.

Use a video cable (not supplied) to connect the

video input of TV to this jack.

1Connect the audio cords.

See "Hooking up optional components" on page 33.

2Press VIDEO/MD to switch the function to VIDEO or MD.

Start playing the connected component. If you cannot select "MD" by pressing VIDEOiMD repeatedly, hold down VIDEO MD and then press I/(_) while the power is on. The function will change from "VIDEO" to "MD" and "MD" will appear in the display. To change back to "VIDEO", repeat the same procedure.

Note

If the solmd is disto*ted or too loud when "VIDEO" is selected, repeat the operation described above lo switch to "MD".

Tip

You can also press FUNCTION repeatedly on the

remote to select "VIDEO".
