Selecting a playback area for Super Audio CD

Selecting a playback area ona2 channel and multi-channel Super Audio CD

Some Super Audio CDs consist of a 2 channel playback area and a multi-channel playback area. You can select the playback area you want to listen to.

1 Press DISPLAY once or twice when playback is stopped.

The Control Menu appears in the on-screen display.

2 Press V or v repeatedly to select

(MULTI/2CH), then press

ENTER.

The options for “MULTI/2CH” appear in the on-screen display.

3 Press V or v repeatedly to select the setting you want.

•MULTI: play back a multi-channel playback area.

•2CH: play back a 2 channel playback area.

4 Press ENTER.

The playback area is selected.

Note

“MULTI” lights up in the display when the multi- channel playback area is played back.

Selecting a playback layer on a hybird Super Audio CD

Some Super Audio CDs consist of a Super Audio CD layer and a CD layer. You can select the play back layer you want to listen to.

Press SA-CD/CD on the unit repeatedly when playback is stopped to select the Super Audio CD or CD layer.

When you select the Super Audio CD layer, “SA-CD” lights up in the display. Likewise, “CD” lights up in the display when you select the CD layer.

•The Program Play, Shuffle Play and Repeat Play setting only functions within the selected layer and playback area.
