Setting the distance
to the subject
Mode dial: /S/A/M/SCN/
Normallythe focus is automatically
adjusted.This function is useful when
theauto focus does not work wellsuch
asin dark places.
To reactivate auto focusing
PressFOCUS again and the focalpoint
informationdisappears.
Notes
•Focalpoint information may not
completelyshow the co rrect distance. Use
theinformation as a guide.
•Thefocus preset does not work properly
whenattac hing a conversion lens.
•Ifyou shoot a subject within 0.5 m
(193/4 inch es) with the zoom is set to the
Tside, you may not get a cl ear focus. In
suchcases, the focal point i nformation
flashes.Press the zoom W button unti l the
indicatorstops flashing .
Recording images in
macro

Themacro recording is used when
zoomingup a little subject, such as
flowers,in sects.
To return to normal
recording mode
Pressthe c ontrol button B ()again.
The indicatord isappears.
