Copying a file in the disc to a computer

Selectthe desired file, and drag it to the desired drive or folder.

Copying a file in a computer to a disc

Onceyou installDir ectCD included in the supplied CD-ROM into your computer,

youcan drag and drop the desired fileto the disc. To view the imageusing this

camera,the file name format must be as follows, “DSC0ssss.JPG”.

Fordetails, see“Image file storage destinations and image file names”(page 43).

4Open[ MyCo mputer] on Windows and double-clickthe newly

recognized drive. (Example: [ CD Mavica (E:)])

Thefolders inside the disc are displayed,and the disc cover of the camera will

belocked. To remove the disc, carry out theoperati on for removing the disc

described on the software operating instructions o fD irectCD.

Ifthe drive is not re cognized, see “Troubleshooting” on page 93.

folder.

∗Copyinga file to the hard disk of your computer before viewing is reco mmended. If you

playback the file directly from the disc ,t heim age and sound may break off.

removingthe disc. This operationis described in “Removing the disc”of the

software operating instructions of DirectCD.

Thedata in the discmay be brokenif you do no t carry out this operation.
