Digital zoom function

Thiscamera has a digital zoom function.

Digital zoom enlarges the image by digital processing, and it starts to function w hen

thezoom exceeds3×.

Using digital zoom

•Themaximum zoom magnification is 6×.

•Digitalzooming deteriorates the picture quality. When digital zoom is not

necessary,set [DIGITAL ZOOM] to[ OFF]in the setup settings (page 84).

Notes

•Digitalzoom does notwork for moving images.

•Thezoom function does not work whi le recording a moving image. Set the zoom position

beforeyou start recording (MVC-CD300 onl y).

Eachtime you press DISPLAY/LCD BACK LIGHT ON/OFF, the status of the LCD

screench anges as follows:

TheLCD backlight is turned on/all the availableindicators are turned on

tTheLCD ba cklight is turned on/warning messages and manual adjustment

items which are set using the jog dial are tu rned on

tTheLCD backlight is turned off/warning messages and manual adjustment

items which are set using the jog dial are tu rned on

Notes
