Chargingthe battery pack
Besure to charge the battery pack
beforeyou start using your camera.
Werecommend charging the battery
packin an a mbient temperature of
between10°Cto30°C(50°Fto86°F)
untilthe /CHGlam p goes out,
indicatingthat the battery pack is
fullych arged. If you charge the
batterypack outside of this
temperaturerange, you may not be
ableto efficiently charge the battery
pack.
Aftercha rging is completed, either
disconnect the AC power adaptor
fromt heD C IN jack on your camera
orremove the battery pack.
Effectiveuse of the batter y pack
Batterype rformance decreases in
low-temperaturesurroundings.So,
thet ime that the battery pack can be
usedis shorter in cold places. We
recommendthe following to use the
batteryp ack longer:
Putthe battery pack in a pocket
closetoyourbodytowarmitup,
andinser t it in your camera
immediatelybefore you start
takingshots.
Frequentlyope rating the zoom wears
outthe bat tery pack faster.
BecertaintoturnthePOWERswitch

playingbackonyourcamera.
Werecommend having spare
batterieshandy for two or three time s

water.The battery pack isnot water-
resistant.
Remainingbattery time indicator
Ifthe power go es off although the
batteryremaining indicator indicates
thatthe battery pack has enough
powerto opera te, charge the battery
packfully again so that the indication
onthe battery remaining indicator is
correct. Note, however,that th e
correctba ttery indication sometimes
willnot be restored if it is used in
hightemperatures for a long time or
lefti n a fully charged state, or the
batteryp ack is frequently used.
