3 Turn the control towards .or towards N>until “ON” flashes in the display, and then press x.

4 Turn the control towards .or towards N>to select the elapsed time.

One rotation of the control changes the elapsed time setting (TIME :) by 1 minute, within a range of 1 to 99 minutes. To change the time quickly, turn and hold the control towards

. or towards N>.

5 Press x.

The time is set.

6 Turn the control towards .or towards N>to select the alarm sound.

The alarm is set.

The time remaining until the alarm is shown in the display while the recorder is stopped or play-paused. To show the remaining time during play, do steps 1 to 3.

To cancel setting the alarm

Press DISPLAY for 2 seconds or more.

To cancel Melody Timer

Select “OFF” in step 3 and then press the jog lever (L) on the recorder or xon the remote control.

To stop the alarm

Press any button. Note that the button’s original function will not activate at this time.

If you end the procedure after step 3, the previous alarm setting is automatically used.

After sounding for one minute, the alarm will automatically stop and the alarm setting will be canceled. If the alarm sounds during stop mode, then the power will automatically turn off 10 seconds after the alarm stops. If the alarm stops while an MD is playing, the playback will continue uninterrupted.

Notes

The settings will be lost when you start recording.

The timer will begin counting down (using the factory setting) from the moment you select “ON” in step 3. The recorder will begin counting down again from the moment you change the elapsed time in step 4.
