Comment:

Check the physical address (MAC address) for the built-in wireless LAN of this device. Follow the instructions below.

1Click Start on the Windows taskbar and then select All Programs > Accessories and click Command Prompt. The Command Prompt screen displays.

2Enter "ipconfig /all" and press the Enter key.

3Check the physical address (MAC address) in the Physical Address field of "Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection".

Cancel the network bridge if a network bridge has been created.

Event:

I want to end the wireless LAN communication.

Comment:

•Turn off the wireless LAN function.

Event:

I cannot communicate using Access Point Mode.

Comment:

•It is impossible to communicate with another access point via wireless LAN using the Access Point Mode. Change your wireless LAN to Station Mode when you want to communicate with another access point.

•Please check your security settings when you connect other devices to your VAIOaccess point. Old types wireless LAN devices may be connected using the 64 bit WEP security only.

•Your VAIO supports the wireless channels 1 - 13. Some wireless LAN devices only support the channels 1-11 , so that you cannot use channels 12,13 with these devices. Please check which channnels your device is supporting, and change your wireless channel on your VAIO to automatic or to 1 - 11.

•As your VAIO has a feature to access limitation, you can refuse connections from devices which do not have registered MAC adresss.
