Checking & Adding Oil
The sight glass shown in Figure 112 shows the oil level in the gearbox. At the maximum level, the oil fills approximately 3⁄4 of the sight glass. At the minimum level, the oil only fills 1⁄4 of the sight glass. Check the oil level daily. When the oil approaches the minimum level, add enough oil to bring it up to the maximum level.

Checking & Adding Oil
The sight glass shown in Figure 114 shows the oil level in the apron. At the maximum level, the oil fills approximately 3⁄4 of the sight glass. At the minimum level, the oil only fills 1⁄4 of the sight glass. Check the oil level daily. When the oil approaches the minimum level, add enough oil to bring it up to the maximum level. This oil is also used by the way pump to lubricate the ways and slides.
