Chapter 3: Getting the Voice Mail System Up and Running
•Set date and time.
•Set answer schedule table with holiday schedule.
•Set each dial action table that is used.
•Record main greetings
•Disable mailboxes that are not in use. Be sure to set each unused mailbox’s Message Limit to zero (0).
•If message wait indication is desired, make sure that port 2 on Sprint® Digital Voice unit is connected. If you have installed a DVP
– 403, but initially are using only ports 1 and 2, disable message notification on ports 3 and 4. This will allow the voice mail system to operate properly.
•Assign mailbox names for dial by name directory.
•Record mailbox names for use until subscribers can enter their mailboxes and record their names.
•Assign system administrator’s mailbox for vendors.
