,To show you how to control your printer from a program, we choose BASIC because it is easy to learn and easy to use. Also, more personal computer users program in BASIC than in any other language.
The rest of this manual will show you a little BASIC - just enough for.you to use your printer. We’re not going to try to make you an expert programmer, though, only get you started.
There are many excellent books that will teach you BASIC, so if you discover that you like to program you should have no trouble learning more about it.
