If groove depth is less than specified:
NReplace the guide bar.
The drive link tangs will otherwise scrape along the bottom of the groove – the cutters and tie straps will not ride on the bar rails.
Shroud
Removing the shroud
NMove the Master Control lever to the stop position (0).
NPush the hand guard forward – the chain is locked.

NOpen the twist locks (1) by turning them 1/4 turn counterclockwise with the combination wrench.
NRemove the shroud (2).
Installing the shroud
NPlace the shroud in position.
NClose the twist locks by turning them a 1/4 turn clockwise.

Cleaning the Air Filter
If there is a noticeable loss of engine power
NRemove the shroud – see "Shroud"
Removing the air filter
NClean away loose dirt from around the filter
NOTICE
Do not use tools to remove and install the air filter – the air filter could be damaged in the process.

NTurn air filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise and remove in the direction of the rear handle
