PILOT WILL NOT STAY LIT OR FIRE GOES OUT IN USE
Ensure there is no debris around the pilot assembly, (e.g. soot etc.) Check for fluff in the pilot aeration hole. See diagram 5 in Replacing Parts, section 2.3.
Light the pilot and keep the control knob pushed in
at least 10 seconds before letting go.
