11.1 Safety Precautions

For your protection, observe the following safety precautions when setting up
your equipment:
Follow all cautions, warnings, and instructions marked on the equipment.
Ensure that the voltage and frequency rating of the power outlet you use
matches the electrical rating label on the equipment and video monitor.
Use properly grounded power outlets only.
Never push objects of any kind through openings in the equipment as they
may touch dangerous voltage points or short out components that could
result in fire or electric shock.
Refer servicing of equipment to qualified personnel.
Toprotect both yourself and the equipment, observe the following precautions:

Springfingers Personal injury The springfingers have sharp edges. Use carewhen handling springfinger-
equipped cabinet screens and system boards.
RFI leakage Keep springfinger-equippedscreens and panels in place when the system is
running. These assemblies suppress radio frequencyinterference (RFI) and
are requiredby law in many localities.
Damaged
springfingers Look for any brokenor twisted springfingers and replace any damaged
screen or boardwith a new assembly.
