2.2 Symbols
The following symbols mean:
WARNING Hazardous voltages are present. To
reducethe risk of electrical shock and
danger to personal health, follow the
instructions.
WARNING Riskof personal injury. To reduce the
risk, follow the instructions.
CAUTION Riskof equipment damage. To reduce
the risk, follow the instructions.
SURFACE CAUTION: Hot surfaces. Avoid
contact. Surfaces are hot and may
cause personal injury if touched.
AC A terminal to which alternating
current or voltage may be applied.
ON The principal and stand-by switches
are in the ON position; the system is
powered on.
ESD mat ESD An approved ESD mat providesprotection from static damage when
used with a wrist strap or foot strap. The mat also cushions and protects
small parts that are attached to printed circuitboards.
Cover panels System damage
and overheating Re-install all cabinet cover panels after performing any service work on
the system.
Card cage slot filler
panels and load boards Systemdamage
and overheating Make sure all empty boardslots have a filler panel installed.
NOTE: Youmust use load boards instead of filler panels in the 16-slot
Enterprise 6000 system card cage.
