PROBLEM	CAUSE & REMEDY

I cannot receive documents	¡The receive mode is set to TEL. Set the receive mode to ANS/FAX or
automatically.	FAX.
	¡The time to answer the call may be too long. Decrease the number of
	rings (p. 24, 25).
	¡The greeting message may be too long. Shorten the message or ask
	the other party to press ** and then start transmission.
	¡The junk mail prohibitor is set to ON (p. 41).

Recording image is faint.	¡The sender transmitted a faint document. Request them to transmit a
	clearer copy of the document.
	¡The thermal head is dirty. Clean it (p. 74).

A blank sheet is ejected after the	¡The receiving reduction rate is not programmed correctly. Program
