During cooking

Turn the heat down as soon as the operating valve allows steam to escape at a constant rate, making a regular hissing noise.

Calculate the cooking time given in the recipe.

Make sure during cooking that the operating valve whispers regularly. If there is not enough steam, turn the heat slightly up, otherwise, turn it down.

If the pressure indicator (D) does not drop down, put the pressure cooker under cold running water - fig. 13.

Never take any action on the pressure indicator.

If during the release of steam you notice abnormal jets, turn the operating valve (A) to the cooking

position or , then perform quick decompression.

Finishing cooking

To release the steam:

Once the heat is turned off, you have two options:

Slow decompression: Turn the operating valve (A) to the position . When the pressure indicator (D) drops down, the pressure cooker is no longer under pressure.

Quick decompression: Put the pressure cooker under cold running water - fig. 13. When the pressure indicator (D) drops down, the pressure cooker is no longer under

pressure. Turn the operating valve (A) to the position .

For models with vats equipped with metal handles*, use potholders.

You can open the pressure cooker - fig. 1.

When cooking emulsified foods or dried vegetables, do not decompress. Wait for the pressure presence indicator to go down before opening. Plan to reduce a bit the recommended cooking time.
