WARRANTY
Tektronixwarrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship fora period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. If any such
productproves defective during this warranty period, Tektronix, at its option,
either will repairthe defective product without charge for parts and labor, or will
provide a replacementin exchange for the defective product.
In order to obtain serviceunder this warranty, Customer must notify Tektronixof
the defect beforethe expiration of the warranty period and make suitable
arrangements forthe performance of service. Customer shall be responsiblefor
packaging and shipping the defectiveproduct to the service center designated
by Tektronix,with shipping charges prepaid. Tektronixshall pay for the return of
the product to Customer if the shipm ent is to a location within the country in
which the Tektronixservice center is located. Customershall be responsible for
paying all shipping charges,duties, taxes, and any other charges for products
returned to any other locations.
This warrantyshall not apply to any defect, failure or damage caused by im-
proper use orim properor inadequate maintenance and care. Tektronix shall not
be obligated to furnishservice under this warranty a) to repair damage resulting
from attempts by personnelother than Tektronix representatives to install,repair
or servicethe product; b) to repair damage resulting from improper use or
connectionto incompatible equipment; or c) to service a product that has been
modified or integratedwith other products when the effect of such modification
or integrationincreases the time or difficulty of servicing the product.
THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN BY TEKTRONIX WITH RESP ECT TO THIS
PRODUCT INLIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES,EXPRESSED OR IM-
PLIED.TEKTRONIX AND ITSVENDORS DISCLAIM ANYIMPLIED WARRAN-
TIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNES S FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TEKTRONIX’ RESPONSIB ILITY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE DEFECTIVE
PRODUCTSISTHESOLEANDEXCLUSIVEREMEDYPROVIDEDTOTHE
CUSTOMER FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. TEKTRONIX AND ITS
VENDORSWILL NOT BE LIABLEFOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDEN-
TAL, ORCONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGESIRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER
TEKTRONIX OR THE VENDOR HAS ADVANCE NOTICE O F THE POSSIBIL-
ITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
