Check1 MakesureUSBdevicecableisfirmlypluggedintooneoftheUSBsockets.Ifthe cableisconnectedcorrectly,gotoCheck2.
Check2 PlugtheUSBdeviceintoanotherUSBsocket(therearethreeinall).IftheUSB devicestilldoesnotwork,gotoCheck4.
IfthedevicefunctionscorrectlywhenconnectedtoanotherUSBport,goto Check3.
Check3 MakesurethattheUSBsocketisfirmlysecuredtothesystemboardofthe computer.Ifthemalfunctionremains,thesystemboardorUSBsmallboardmay bedamaged.GotoProcedure2.
Check4 ConnectanalternativeUSBdevicetooneofthecomputer’sUSBports,andthen bootthecomputer.Thecomputerautomaticallydetectstheexternaldevice.
IfthealternativeUSBdeviceworkscorrectly,theoriginaldevicemaybe damagedandshouldbereplaced.
IfthealternativeUSBdeviceappearstohavethesameproblemastheoriginal device,thesystemboardorUSBsmallboardmaybedamaged.GotoProcedure 2.
