Ifanerrorislocated,gotoProcedure2.Ifanerrorisnotlocated,thewirelessLANsystemis functioningproperly.

ThewirelessLANantenna,wirelessLANunitorsystemboardmaybedisconnectedor damaged.DisassemblethecomputerfollowingthestepsdescribedinChapter4,Replacement Procedures,andperformthefollowingchecks.
Check1 MakesurethatthewirelessLANantennaisfirmlyconnectedtotheWireless LANmodule(refertoChapter4forinstructions)andthatthewirelessLAN moduleissecurelyslottedintothesystemboard.Iftheproblempersists,goto Check2.
Check2 CheckthatthewirelesscommunicationfunctionisenablebyBIOSsetupor FN+F8,andthenmakesurethatthewirelesscommunicationLEDonthefront panelislight.IftheLEDislightbutthewirelessLANfunctionisstillfaulty,the antennamaybedamaged.Replacewithanewantennafollowingthestepsin Chapter4,ReplacementProcedures.Iftheproblempersists,orifthewireless LANLEDisnotlightwhenthewirelesscommunicationfunctionisenabledby BIOSsetuporFN+F8,gotoCheck3.
Check3 ThewirelessLANunitmaybedamaged.Replaceitwithanewonefollowingthe
instructionsinChapter4.Iftheproblemstillexists,performCheck4.
