The Security/Reports page provides the Firewall statistics.
By clicking the “Show me more” button, you will get more information regarding the enhanced
firewall functionality available through the SofaWare upgrade. The SofaWare upgrade provides
more detailed reports on intrusion statistics for your firewall.
The Systems/Internet page shows the current Internet connection status. If you have successfully
connected to the Internet, the Status field should display “Connected” and the IP address of the
PCX5000 will be displayed.
If you are having trouble making an Internet connection, you may need to specify a “Host Name”.
Some CSP’s (Cable Service Providers) require you to enter a host name to access their network.
With a Windows PC, you may identify the host name of your computer by right clicking the “Start”
button in the tool bar, selecting “Explore” and clicking on the “Network Neighborhood” icon
(Windows 98SE or Me) or “My Network Places” icon (Windows 2000, XP).
