Special features
The following features are either unique to TOSHIBA computers or are advanced features, which make the computer more convenient to use.
Hot Keys | Key combinations let you quickly modify the |
| system configuration directly from the keyboard |
| without running a system configuration program. |
Instant Security | The hot key function Fn + F1 blanks the screen |
| and disables the computer, providing data |
| security. |
Display Automatic | This feature automatically cuts off power to the |
Power Off *1 | internal display when there is no keyboard input |
| for a specified time. Power is restored when any |
| key is pressed. |

HDD Automatic Power | This feature automatically cuts off power to the |
Off *1 | hard disc drive when it is not accessed for a |
| specified time. Power is restored when the hard |
| disc is accessed. |

System Automatic | This feature automatically shuts down the system |
Sleep Mode/ | into Sleep Mode or Hibernation Mode when there |
Hibernation *1 | is no input or hardware access for a specified |
| time. |

Intelligent Power | A microprocessor in the computer's intelligent |
Supply *1 | power supply detects the battery’s charge and |
| calculates the remaining battery capacity. It also |
| protects electronic components from abnormal |
| conditions, such as voltage overload from an |
| AC adaptor. |

Battery Save Mode *1 | This feature lets you save battery power. |
| This can be specified in the Power Options. |
Panel Power On/Off *1 This feature turns power to the computer off when the display panel is closed and turns it back on when the panel is opened.

Low Battery |
| When battery power is exhausted to the point that |
Automatic | *1 | computer operation cannot be continued, the |

and shuts down.
