Your scanner's nickel-cadmium battery can power the scanner for up to 5 hours on a full charge.

Before you use the scanner the first time, and whenever the [BA TT] indicator appears,

you should fully charge the battery. Notes:

. Install the battery before you charge it.

. When the [BATT] indicator appears, there is about 10 minutes of power left. If you don'tturn off the scanner within 10 minutes, it automatically turns off to prevent the battery from fully discharging.

		Getting	Started
Installing/Removing the Battery		To remove the..battery, press the release
1.	Turn off the scanner.	button and slide the battery	off.
2.	Slidethe batteryon.
