Tap > Settings > Personal tab > Password.

Select the type of password you would like to use. A strong password must have at least 7 characters that are a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, and punctuation.

Enter the password and, if necessary, confirm the password. Select how long your mobile device must be turned off before the password is required for using the device.

If your device is configured to connect to a network, use a strong password to help protect network security. Password cracking tools continue to improve and the computers used to crack passwords are more powerful than ever.

If you forget your password, you must follow the directions in your owner's manual to clear memory before you can access your device. This erases all files and data you have created and program you have installed. If you've used ActiveSync to create a backup file, all of your program data can be restored.
