Optional Top Vent Application

DV360/580 Series Direct Vent Gas Fireplace

The DV360/580 ﬁreplace is shipped as a rear vent unit. If the layout requires a top vent, convert the unit follow- ing the steps below.

1.Remove the 10 screws securing outer collar adapter to ﬁreplace. (Fig. 11)

2.Set outer collar adapter aside.

3.Remove insulation from top of unit and discard. Re- move the four (4) screws securing ﬂue cover to top of unit and remove ﬂue cover. (Fig. 12)

4.Remove the four (4) screws securing ﬂue pipe to back of unit. Remove ﬂue pipe. (Fig. 12)

5.Secure ﬂue cover to back of ﬂue outlet. Be sure to replace gasket. (Fig. 14)

6.Install ﬂue pipe and gasket removed in step 4 to top of unit with four (4) screws. Be sure to replace gas- ket. (Fig. 14)

7.Secure outer collar adapter to unit with the round collar on top, secure with 10 screws.

NOTE: Be sure not to damage any gasket material.

CAUTION: Remove insulation. Insulation extends beyond opening in top of unit. Be sure to remove all insulation before completing conversion. Insulation measures 9¹⁄₄” x

22³⁄₄” (23.5 cm x 57.8 cm). If the unit is con- verted back to a rear vent, the insulation (Part number 20003129) must be replaced.

After conversion to top vent conﬁguration, the 4” (102 mm) ﬂue pipe should be con- centric within the 7” (175 mm) outer collar.
