USING THE MODE DIAL

Simple Mode [ A ]

A (Auto) mode is the simplest way which allows you to take still pictures without having to set special functions or manual adjustments. The ViviCam 8400 sets the optimal focusing and exposure.

1.

Rotate the mode dial to A and turn your ViviCam 8400 on by

pressing the

button.

2.

Compose your image with your main subject in the center of the

focus frame.

3.

Press the shutter button down halfway to focus the image.

When you press the shutter button down half way, the

ViviCam 8400’s Auto Focus feature automatically focuses the

image. Proper exposure is determined and locked at the same time.

With the shutter button held, you can reframe your image

and the main subject will still be correctly exposed and in focus.

4.

Press the shutter button the rest of the way down to capture the image.

Program Mode [ P ]

In the P (Program) mode, the ViviCam 8400 automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture for taking still images. You can adjust other functions, such as flash mode or continuous shooting mode.

1.Rotate the mode dial to P and turn your ViviCam 8400 on by pressing the button.

2.Compose your image with your main subject in the center of the focus frame.

3.Press the shutter button to capture the image.
