Clean | Cleans the currently installed print |
| cartridge. Before clicking the <Clean> |
| button, make sure the printer is idle. |
Align | Prints a test pattern that you can use to |
| verify the optimum |
| alignment of the print head in the |
| printer. |
| To align the cartridge, wait for the |
| printer to completely print the alignment |
| test page. Look over the nine individual |
| vertical alignment patterns. Determine |
| which pattern has the straightest lines. |
| If pattern zero (“0”) has the straightest |
| lines, then there is no need to adjust the |
| alignment. Click <Done> to exit the |
| dialog. |
| If a pattern other than zero has the |
| straightest lines, then select that pattern |
| on the dialog box. Select Print the |
| Alignment Test Pattern if you want to |
| verify the adjustment, then click |
| <Align>. If you are not verifying the |
| adjustment, click <Done>. |
