CDR1000—Owner’s Manual

Using the Transportation Pad

The CDR1000 is shipped with a transportation pad in the disc drive to protect the

mechanism against damage that may occur during transportation. The pad must be

removed before using the CDR1000, as follows: turn on the CDR1000, press the

[OPEN/CLOSE] button, and remove the pad from the disc tray.

Keep the transportation pad for future use.

Installing the Transportation Pad

Before transporting the CDR1000, install the transportation pad, as follows.

1Turn on the CDR1000.

2Press the [OPEN/CLOSE] button to open the disc tray.

3Place the transportation pad on the disc tray, as shown below.

4Press the [OPEN/CLOSE] button to close the disc tray.

5Once the disc tray has closed, turn off the CDR1000.

The CDR1000 is now ready to be transported.
