HINT
• If the external effec t is the type that mixes
effect sound to the original soun d (such as
a reverb, delay, or chorus), adjust the level
balance between original soun d and effect
sound by adjusting the return le vel and dry
level.
• If the external effect i s the type that
processes the input signal for outpu t (such
as a compressor or EQ unit), the dry level
should normally be set to 0 and th e signal
level should be adjusted with the retu rn level
parameter.
When the effect loop se ttings have

been made, press the [E XIT] key.
The unit returns to manual mode or play mode.
Store the patch as neces sary.
8.
When you next call up the stored patch, the
external effect settings will also become
effective again.
HINT
If the external effect supports M IDI based
program switching, the B9.1ut can control the
effect by sending program change messages.
In this way, patch switching at the B9.1ut
and program switching at the B9.1ut can be
synchronized ( p. 43).
