When an external effect is connected to the SEND/RETURN jacks, settings such as effect on/off and
send/return level can be stored as part of a patch. For details, s ee page 40.
Make sure that any connec ted

bass ampli er is turned off.
In addition, fully turn down the volume control
at the bass ampli er.
Plug the AC adapter into an AC

outlet and plug the cab le from the
adapter into the DC IN conn ector
of the B9.1ut.
Use a monaural cable to con nect

the bass guitar to the IN PUT jack
of the B9.1ut. Use a monaural
cable to connect the OUTPU T L/
MONO (or R) jack to the bass
ampli er.
HINT
To monitor with headphones, plug the
headphone cable into the PHON ES jack of the
B9.1ut.

NOTE
Proceed with care when powering up the system .
If you turn on power to the B9.1ut while the bass
ampli er is already on, there is a risk of hearing
damage and damage to the speak ers.
Play your bass guitar and ad just the
5. volume c ontrol on the bass ampl i er,
on the bass guitar, and the LE VEL
knob on the rear panel of t he B9.1ut to
obtain optimum liste ning volume.

NOTE
The Accelerator setting also has a n in uence on
the volume ( p. 17).
HINT
The B9.1ut has a so-called "Pickup Sel ect"
feature that lets you match the un it to various
kinds of bass guitar pickups. If nece ssary, select
the appropriate setting for your ba ss guitar the
rst time you use the B9.1ut ( p. 61).
To shut down the system, turn power

reverse order than duri ng power-up.
NOTE
• When the LEVEL k nob on the rear panel is
turned to maximum, the o utput level of the
B9.1ut is +6 dB.
• For information on Acc elerator settings for
unity gain (output level is the sam e as input
level), see page 17.
The steps for turning on the B9.1ut are described below.
When connecting to an effect tha t has
a rated input level of +4 dBm (rack-
mount effect or similar), use the "+4
dBm" setting. When connecting to an
instrument effect or a compact ef fect,
use the "-10 dBm" setting.
