ZyWALL 10 Internet Security Gateway

Table 2-5 Configure Dynamic DNS Menu Fields

FIELD	DESCRIPTION	EXAMPLE
Service	Enter the name of your Dynamic DNS client.	www.dyndns.org
Provider
Active	Press [SPACE BAR] to cycle between Yes or No.	Yes

Host	Enter the domain name assigned to your ZyWALL by your	me.dyndns.org
	Dynamic DNS provider.
EMAIL	Enter your e-mail address.	mail@mailserver

User	Enter your user name.

Password	Enter the password assigned to you.

Enable	Your ZyWALL supports DYNDNS Wildcard. Press [SPACE	Yes
Wildcard	BAR] to cycle between Yes or No This field is N/A when you
	choose DDNS client as your service provider.

When you have completed this menu, press [ENTER] at the prompt “Press ENTER to Confirm…” to save your configuration, or press [ESC] at any time to cancel.

The IP address will be updated when you reconfigure Menu 1 or perform DHCP client renewal.

If you have a private WAN IP address, then you cannot use Dynamic DNS.

2.8WAN Setup

This section describes how to configure the WAN using Menu 2 — WAN Setup. From the main menu, enter 2 to open menu 2.

ZyXEL recommends you configure this menu even if your ISP does not require MAC

address authentication.
