MANTENIMIENTO

ADVERTENCIA:

Al dar servicio a la unidad, sólo utilice piezas de repuesto idénticas. El empleo de piezas diferentes puede causar un peligro o dañar el producto.

ADVERTENCIA:

Siempre use gafas de seguridad o anteojos protectores con protección lateral al usar herramientas. Si la operación genera mucho polvo, también póngase una mascarilla contra el polvo.

Alinee las ranura(s) del carrete con las ranura(s) del alo- jamiento del cabezal del hilo. Empuje hacia abajo y gire el carrete en la dirección que corresponda para alinear las ranura(s).

Asegúrese de que el cabezal del hilo y el retén del car- rete estén instalados en el eje de impulsión. Gire hacia la izquierda el retén del carrete a asegurar.

Deslice ambos hilos en los ojillos del alojamiento y tire hacia afuera para rotar el carrete a la posición de corte.

Presione el retén del carrete a la vez que tira del hilo, o hilos, para avanzar manualmente el hilo y para verificar el ensamblaje correcto del cabezal del hilo.

ADVERTENCIA:

Antes de inspeccionar, limpiar o dar mantenimiento a la máquina, apague el motor, espere hasta que se detengan todas las piezas en movimiento, desconecte el cable de la bujía y apártelo de la bujía. El incumplimiento de estas instrucciones puede provocar lesiones personales graves o daños materiales.

MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL

Evite el empleo de solventes al limpiar piezas de plástico. La mayoría de los plásticos son susceptibles a diferentes tipos de solventes comerciales y pueden resultar dañados. Utilice paños limpios para eliminar la suciedad, el polvo, el lubricante, la grasa, etc.

ADVERTENCIA:

No permita en ningún momento que fluidos para frenos, gasolina, productos a base de petróleo, lubricantes penetrantes, etc., lleguen a tocar las piezas de plástico. Los productos químicos pueden dañar, debilitar o destruir el plástico, lo cual puede causar lesiones serias.

A menudo, usted puede efectuar los ajustes y reparaciones descritos aquí. Para otro tipo de reparaciones, lleve la recortadora a un establecimiento de servicio autorizado.

REEMPLAZO DEL CARRETE

Vea las figuras 24 - 25.

Si únicamente va a reabastecer el hilo, consulte la sección

Instalación del hilo en el cabezal del hilo con alimentación por golpe más adelante en este manual.

Use únicamente hilo monofilar de 2,4 mm (0,095 pulg.) de diámetro.

Apague el motor y desconecte el cable de la bujía. Sujete el cabezal del hilo y gire hacia la derecha el retén del carrete retirar.

Retire el carrete vacío del cabezal del hilo. Mantenga el resorte acoplado al carrete.

Asegúrese de que se capturen los dos hilos en las ranuras opuestas entre sí en el nuevo carrete. Asegúrese de que los extremos de cada hilo sobresalgan aproximadamente 152 mm (6 pulg.) de cada ranura.

Instalación del hilo en el cabezal del hilo con alimentación por golpe

Vea las figuras 26 - 28.

Apague el motor y desconecte el cable de la bujía. Sujete el cabezal del hilo y gire hacia la derecha el retén del carrete retirar.

Retire el carrete del cabezal del hilo.

NOTA: Mantenga el resorte acoplado al carrete. Retire cualquier hilo viejo restante en el carrete.

Corte una pieza de hilo monofilar de 5,5 m (18 pies) de largo.

Encuentre la mitad del tramo de hilo. Pase el hilo, formando una lazada, alrededor del gancho en el centro del carrete. Enrolle cuidadosamente el hilo en la dirección indicada en la parte superior del carrete. Cuando se aproxime al extremo del hilo, deslice los extremos del hilo en cada ranura del carrete. No lo llene en exceso.

Vuelva a colocar el carrete y el retén del carrete. Consulte la sección Reemplazo del carrete más arriba en este manual.

Instalación del inserto para cabezal del hilo con línea fija DUAL SPOOL™

Vea la figura 29.

Detenga el motor y desconecte el cable de la bujía.

Quite el retén del carrete.

Quite el carrete y el resorte del cabezal del hilo.

Busque la palabra LOAD en la parte superior del inserto del cabezal del hilo con línea fija Dual Spool™, luego ubique los orificios que están a los lados del inserto de- bajo de LOAD. Coloque el inserto dentro del cabezal del hilo de modo que los orificios de los lados del inserto se alineen con las ranuras situadas a los lados del cabezal del hilo. Asegúrese de que el carrete esté completamente asentado.

Vuelva a colocar el retén del carrete en el cabezal del hilo y gírelo a la izquierda para asegurarlo.

Instale el hilo como se describe en la siguiente sección de este manual.
