12. CHECKS and CORRECTIONS

Afterdismantlingandcleaning the engineparts,checkthem,and if necessary,correctthem,accordingtothecorrection

table.

Thecorrectiontableapplieswhenevertheenginesarerepaired.Itscontentsshouldbethoroughlyunderstoodby those

whoundertaketherepairing.Itsspecificationsmustbeabidedbytoeffectcorrectmaintenance.

Below, terms employed in the correction table are explained.

CORRECTION

All operationsperformed on the enginepartsforthepurpose of improvingorrecoveringtheengineperformance, consisting of repair, readjustment, and replacement.

STANDARD SIZE

Design dimension of the part without the tolerance.

CORRECTION TOLERANCE

Tolerance on the re-finished part dimension oron the readjustment dimension.

CORRECTION LIMIT

Limit onthepartandadjustment,beyondwhichanydimensionalandfunctionalchange,duetowear,burnand other causes will adversely affect the normal engine performance.

USE LIMIT

Limit, beyond which the part is no longer usable, due to defects m function or strength.

All dimensions in the CORRECTION TABLE are give in millimeter, except where otherwise specified.
