Check the crankcase oil level before starting the engine and after each eight

(8)hours of continuous use. See Figure 18. Add S.A.E. 5W30 motor oil as needed. Synthetic 5W30 is accept- able for all temperatures. Tighten fill

cap/dipstick securely each time you check the oil level.

Change the oil every fifty (50) hours or at least once a year if the snow thrower is not used for fifty (50) hours.

TO CHANGE ENGINE OIL

1.Position the snow thrower so that

the oil drain plug is at the lowest point on the engine.

2.When the engine is warm, remove the oil drain plug and the oil fill cap/dipstick (see Figure 18). Drain the oil into a suitable container.

,After draining all the oil, reinstall the oil drain plug securely.

4.Fill the engine crankcase with the recommended motor oil, pouring slowly. DO NOT OVERFILL. See =1"oAdd Oil" in the Operation Sec- tion.
